Today, at a plenary meeting, the Federation Council unanimously approved the law on the federal budget for 2025 and the planning period of 2026–2027.
160 senators voted for the document, the correspondent of The Moscow Post reports.
The day before, the law was supported by the Committee of the Federation Council on Budget and Financial Markets.
Finance Minister Anton Siluanov noted that the three -year budget is the first stage of the financial plan for the implementation of the tasks indicated by the president in the message to the Federal Assembly.
He emphasized that the budget will protect the country from external risks, and will also provide resources to resolve issues of defense, security and social needs.
The State Duma approved the budget for 2025–2027 on November 21. The main priorities of the document were the fulfillment of social obligations and the achievement of technological independence of Russia.
According to the law, the income of the federal budget in 2025 will amount to 40.3 trillion rubles. It is expected that oil and gas revenues reached 10.9 trillion rubles (5.1% of GDP), and non -29.3 trillion rubles (13.7% of GDP), which will be 72.9% of the total income. In 2026, the predicted income will be 41.8 trillion rubles, and in 2027 – 43.2 trillion rubles.
