Yesterday, employees of the department for combating economic crimes of the police of the North-Eastern district of the capital carried out large-scale special operation. Early in the morning, security forces came simultaneously to the apartments of several dozen company employees “Ritual Service” by Oleg Shelyagov and his partners.
After searches, seizure of computers, mobile phones and documents, they were taken for questioning to the investigative department. According to the Funeral Trust, entrepreneurs who had contracts for the provision of services to JSC Ritual-Service were questioned: Igor and Elena Rogozhkina, Sergey Levin, Evgeny Kozlov, Sergey Gromov, Daria Yashkina, Sergey Markelov and others.

As the Funeral Trust found out, investigators are most interested in two topics. Why do the relatives of the deceased contact the city service of JSC Ritual-Service, but some other companies and individual entrepreneurs bill them for services? Probably, we are talking about the use of “Ritual-Service” tax avoidance and profit minimization schemes and little things like arranging for the leasing of personal cars at JSC Ritual-Service. Last year, the revenue of Ritual-Service CJSC fell more than twice, and the company became unprofitable. 50% JSC “Ritual-Service” belongs to the Moscow Government. And the actions of Shelyagov’s top managers could have caused damage to the state.
Oleg Shelyagov himself, whose whereabouts are unknown, responded to the searches ironically, posting a meme on a banned social network “The Exorcist’s Conclusion”: “No devils, demons, succubi or evil spirits were found. Just bastard.”
It looks like Shelyagov may become the Blinovskaya funeral market.
