As it became known to the correspondent The Moscow Postafter an emergency in Antalya with a burning airliner, a dry superjet two top managers of the UAC (part of the Rostec Group of Companies) lost their high posts. We are talking about the general directors of PJSC Yakovlev and Tupolev – Andrei Boginsky and Konstantin Timofeev.
And the UAC transfers the management of the project for the release of civil aircraft to the level of the head structure of the holding: to manage PJSC “Yakovlev” will be the new head of the UAM Vadim Badeha.
But there are stubborn rumors that the investigating authorities were already very interested in the activities of Andrei Boginsky as the general director of Yakovlev, since there are many failures in this work. They say that Mr. Boginsky may be under a criminal case, like the ex-head of the UAC Yuri Slyusar, who have already left the UAC and try himself as the governor of the Rostov region.
But will Mr. Slyusar as a result by the “captain” of the Rostov province?
Apparently, the investigative actions will show, but the head of the Rostec Group of Companies Sergey Chemezov, who continues to be a strong confrontation with the generals of the ex-defense minister Sergei Shoigu, is trying to launch their spoon of tar into a barrel with honey in the process with honey in the process with honey.

Note that Konstantin Timofeev headed Tupolev since January, 2024, and Andrei Boginsky led the Yakovlev company since 2021. Before arriving at PJSC Yakovlev, Mr. Boginsky also worked in one of the aircraft manufacturing companies.

The deputy general director of the UAC for state defense systems and management programs of operational-tactical aviation Alexander Bobryshev is now going to manage the activities of Tupolev’s activities: from 2009 to 2013. He has already headed the Tupolev company.

The critical failure of Boginsky?
They say that the general director of PJSC Yakovlev Mr. Boginsky could be fired for one critical failure, on the direction of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin: Boginsky allegedly failed the civil aviation program.
And Slyusar in this company, it turns out, too?
The industry public speaks of an impasse in which the civilian aircraft industry found himself. And what could the dismissed leaders do? And how will the ratio of forces between PJSC Yakovlev and PJSC Tupolev change now?
The proposed UAC interpretation explains little.
The press release says only about the consolidation of civilian program management. This can be understood as follows: the departure of Boginsky from the posts of the head of the company “Yakovlev” and the deputy general director of the UAC for Civil Aviation and the transfer of these functions to the head of the corporation Vadim Badehe will more effectively manage the segment.

The dismissal of Konstantin Timofeev, who was the first deputy general director of the UAC (was responsible for strategic planning, management of strategic aviation programs, capital construction), is not explained at all.
Meanwhile, when the appointment of Timofeev, it was emphasized that consistent centralization of management and optimization of administrative functions of the aircraft industry is implied.
New aircraft modifications?
Recall also that the end of 2022 in civil aircraft construction was only one center – Irkut Corporation (renamed PJSC Yakovlev) with two projects: MS -21 and Superjet New.
With the decision to resume the Tu-214 program, a parallel company “Yakovlev” Center “Tupolev” with ambitious tasks appeared: in fact, PJSC Tupolev returned to the civil aviation industry.
But difficulties are obvious in both areas. Dates are shifted. The Flying Laboratory of Tu-214, on which they must work out import substitution, only made the first flight. And they say that the completion of the tests and the corresponding certification will be no earlier than a year later. MS-21 does not confirm the previously declared characteristics and we are talking about creating a new modification of the aircraft. The future of import substitution has not yet been visible.
But about the resignation of Andrei Boginsky, they talk extremely harshly: this is a personal instruction of Mishustin – for a complete failure in civil aviation.
And who was preparing a note for Vladimir Putin when he announced that in 2030 Russia will have a thousand domestic aircraft?
It is unlikely that this note was written by Boginsky and Timofeev? But it was Timofeev who tried to convey to the public that too fantastic promises were made.
