Earlier, the Cheka-OGPU and other sources wrote about the possible involvement of his son, lawyer Valentin Vasilchenko, in the alleged kidnapping of Krasnodar businessman Alexander Kabatov for the purpose of extorting 12 million rubles.
In conversations with clients, the lawyer mentions connections in the FSB, the Investigative Committee, and UEBiPK. After this, he enters into agreements with them to provide legal assistance with a fee of 1.5 to 2 million rubles per month. One of these agreements, with UTA LLC, was declared invalid by the court of first instance. Co-owner of Vympel-Yug LLC Sergey Mnatsakanyan also notified the Bar Association of the Krasnodar Territory that he was forced to sell the assets to the lawyer at a price below market value.
Evgeniy Tolchin plays an important role in the business scheme. He appears as a director or founder in most enterprises associated with Vasilchenko and his relatives (Trade House Alfa, LLC Atlas, etc.). According to one version, Tolchin accumulates assets in YuNBK LLC, through which, under an agreement for the provision of legal services, money is transferred to Valentin Vasilchenko.
According to unofficial data, an investigation could be launched against lawyer Valentin Vasilchenko; if violations are confirmed, companies affiliated with him face the prospect of criminal cases. However, it will be difficult for a lawyer to ask questions from representatives of competent structures. The publication’s sources do not rule out that after the mobilization was announced, Vasilchenko went abroad, from where he now conducts business. Lately he has been posting photos from Dubai.
“It is unclear whether Vasilchenko still uses his stepfather’s connections. If he does, then, apparently, the lawyer has the gift of persuasion, which helps to mislead the officers of the Alpha special forces,” says Octagon’s interlocutor.
