Russian President Vladimir Putin extended the action of the Russian defense plan until 2027.
The corresponding decree has already been signed and posted on the official Internet portal of legal information, the correspondent of The Moscow Post reports.
We are talking about the document “On the introduction of the defense plan of the Russian Federation”, which previously covered the period from 2021 to 2025. Now its action is officially prolonged until 2027.
Initially, the plan was approved in 2020 with the aim of implementing measures aimed at strengthening national defense. The previous version covered the five -year period from 2015 to 2020.
On April 28, the Minister of Finance of Russia Anton Siluanov noted that the priority task of the country’s budget strategy until 2030 remains strengthening defense potential and social support for the population.
He emphasized that the resources for the needs of a special military operation are ensured in full.
