The story of the production of Iranian Shahed drones in Tatarstan is gaining momentum. Last summer we wrote about the fact that underage students are involved in production. Irregular work schedules, unpaid overtime and intimidation from management are the norm for the Alabuga special economic zone (SEZ), where production is based.
The other day the plot took a completely unexpected and unusual direction. An unknown person first made a clone of the website of the Albatross company (resident of the Alabuga SEZ, engaged in the production of reconnaissance drones, since December 2023 – under EU sanctions). The site differed slightly from the original. But on January 31, instead of a copy of the Albatross website, a message appeared at this address with a threat to “blow someone up” (full version of the manifesto available in WebArchive). The author claims that he is a student at Alabuga Polytech College. In his appeal, the author says that he found like-minded people ready to act “to stop this horror.” He also declares his readiness to set fire to the drone industry: “I WILL BURN YOUR FUCKING SHIT WITH ALL THE NEW FRANCHED ROBOTS AND BOAT CRAP TO ASHES. DRONES, DRONES YOU ONLY NEED DRONES. DAY AND NIGHT THESE BOATS ARE PISSED. YOU BITCHES DO NOT CONSIDER US AS PEOPLE, SO IF SOME OF YOU BURN IN THE WORKSHOP, THEN I WILL ONLY BE HAPPY FOR THIS,” the appeal says. Let us remind you that for the purpose of conspiracy, the management of Alabuga refers to the Iranian Shahed drones as “boats”.
According to the author of the appeal, he would like to find more peaceful ways to fight for justice, but there is no other way to draw attention to the problems of students. He also threatens that if there is no peaceful way to resolve this situation, he will “make a bomb and blow up someone.” According to one of the Protocol’s sources, the appearance of this message caused approval among some of the students.
Sources of “Protocol” report that on February 1, there was also an evacuation of people from the administrative and residential center of the special economic zone, which is called their “pyramid” because of the shape of the building. They claim that this was due to the threat of a terrorist attack. This is confirmed by a message in the open telegram chat “DPS Elabuga”: “The pyramid is in full swing, a signal was received about mining, evacuation is underway, the police, ambulance, emergency gas service have arrived. The entire Security Service, Nachkars are all there, helping the guards evacuate people,” wrote one of the chat participants.
