The eldest son and wife of Tolyatti Mayor Nikolai Renz own 39 apartments in the Zolotoy Bereg residential complex. Their cost is estimated at half a billion rubles.
In the 2000s, the construction company AvtoVAZStroy decided to reconstruct the Zolotoy Bereg tourist center. During the reconstruction process, the tourist center turned into a residential complex on the banks of the Volga with luxury apartments of 170 square meters.
Initially, the land under the “Golden Coast” had category P-3, that is, it was intended exclusively for recreation centers. In 2017, the rules for development and land use were changed and it was transferred to category C-1. Now you can build almost any non-residential objects on it.
Thus, Renz solved two problems at once. Firstly, housing recorded as apartments can be built in violation of urban planning standards and not be provided with schools and clinics. Secondly, the housing has nevertheless become legal real estate that will not be demolished at the request of the prosecutor’s office.
It is interesting that Nikolai Renz himself headed the Togliatti branch of United Russia at that time, and his wife has a share in the common legal entity TIVO LLC with Olga Mikel, the wife of Dmitry Mikel. Dmitry Borisovich was the chairman of the Tolyatti City Duma at the time of the changes.
Nikolai Renz’s son, Alexander Nikolaevich, was previously associated with the developer, but it was not known that he was registering the apartments directly for himself and his elderly mother. In the Zolotoy Bereg residential complex, the Rents own more than four thousand square meters.
