Peskov said that the draft budget reflects all instructions of Vladimir Putin

Today, the Government of the Russian Federation introduced a draft budget to the Duma for 2025-2027.

The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that the budget draft for the next three years reflects all instructions of the Russian leader Vladimir Putin to the Government of the Russian Federation, the correspondent of The Moscow Post reports.

He emphasized that the head of state regularly holds meetings devoted to economic development issues. The federal budget draft was already sent to the State Duma.

According to forecasts, the income of the federal budget in 2025 will amount to 40.3 trillion rubles, and expenses will increase to 41.5 trillion rubles, which will lead to a deficit of 0.5% of GDP. Over the next three years, it is expected that the budget will be executed with a shortage.

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin previously noted that the budget policy for the next three years will be aimed at financing all priority areas and social guarantees, as well as to increase all obligations, programs and projects.

It was assumed that the sources of financing would be borrowing, as a result of the public debt, according to the results of 2027, it can increase to 18% of GDP.

In 2023, this parameter was 15%. The Ministry of Finance emphasized that this is an economically safe level.
