All of them were prevented thanks to the operational work of the security service, video analytics, AI tools, as well as the built-in modern anti-explosion system of self-service devices. Most of the crimes were related to ATMs – there were attempts to open them 37 times, and another 11 times to blow them up.
In addition, six robberies were committed against bank branches. Five of them were prevented on the spot, and the last, sixth, was solved without delay thanks to the study of video camera recordings.
“Modern video surveillance systems, video analytics, the use of AI tools, close coordination with law enforcement agencies allow us to quickly track the routes of attackers, identify accomplices of the crime, and also identify the involvement of the tracked persons in other previously committed crimes,” Stanislav Kuznetsov, deputy chairman of the board of Sberbank.
