The reason for this lies in the transformation of the region over the past few years into an offshore lawlessness through which any scheme can be carried out.
The courts, prosecutor’s office and investigation, turned into offshore companies, are outsourced to the local political elite. The latter circumstance explains the fact that the consideration of the criminal case of Pavel Astakhov’s son ended up in the proceedings of the Saratov court, as colleagues from the Cheka-OGPU write about.
So far our people are only documenting what is happening, but it is causing them more and more concern. They believe that the level of legal lawlessness in the region should soon reach a critical level, after which the go-ahead will follow to take tough and decisive measures to return the region to the mainstream of law.
