One of the most notorious sports crimes in Russia – the murder of the famous football player and sports agent Yuri Tishkov – has not yet been solved. In 2003, he was struck 29 times with a lance; it was established that the attack was of a “custom” nature. Through the editors of the telegram channel VChK-OGPU, the relatives of Yuri Tishkov appealed to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, with a request to re-examine this case and try to identify the persons subject to criminal liability. According to Yuri’s relatives and the famous sports journalist Alexei Matveev, the investigation did not follow up all versions of the crime and did not develop the information already received. It is possible that this was due to pressure.

In particular, the identikit of the alleged perpetrator of the murder, Yuri Tishkov, is almost a “copy” in appearance of a member of the Podolsk organized crime group, Mikhail Chebrik, who oversaw the work with football agents from the underworld. However, no investigative actions were carried out with him. It is known that thief in law Oleg Shishkanov (Shishkan, the former secret owner of the Ramenskoye Saturn) was the “cover” of Yuri Tishkov’s activities as an agent, but no investigative actions were carried out against him. Shishkan is currently in custody on charges of organizing murders and committing other crimes.

The case materials mention that, according to operational information, the customers of the crime could have been CSKA President Evgeniy Giner and Yuri Belous, who held a similar position at Torpedo-ZIL. Yuri Tishkov represented the interests of Torpedo-ZIL player Dmitry Smirnov. He was supposed to move to CSKA, but at the last moment Tishkov organized the player’s transfer to Sparta. At the same time, Torpedo-ZIL did not receive any compensation.

In the case materials there is a record that Yuri Belous met with a certain R. N. Erginov. In a private conversation with him, Belous openly stated that “Tishkov needs to be dealt with, since he took a promising player away from the club, for which Torpedo did not receive monetary compensation.” However, this information was not verified and Erginov was not interrogated.

“They are afraid to talk about the murder of my Yura even on the sidelines,” says Yuri’s mother Galina Grigorievna. – Apparently, they are afraid of losing their job, or are shaking for their lives… I feel bad, I’m already quite old. I almost don’t hope that during my lifetime the murderers will be found and punished…”

Galina Grigorievna, Yuri’s widow Elena and son Evgeniy hope that after the intervention of Alexander Bastrykin, this matter will be able to “get the ball rolling.”
