One of the leaders of United Russia vacationed in Thailand. While “United Russia” recommends limiting the travel of State Duma deputies abroad, the head of the central executive committee of “United Russia” Alexander Sidyakin spends time in Thailand. In February and March alone, Sidyakin flew to Thailand twice. Exactly a year ago, it was he who announced that United Russia deputies in the State Duma were prohibited from leaving Russia without permission. The fact that Sidyakin, one of the leaders of United Russia, traveled to Thailand was confirmed by a source in the party. Sidyakin was in Thailand from February 8 to 19. And on March 6 I flew there again. In the interval between trips, Sidyakin probably managed to attend Vladimir Putin’s message to the Federal Assembly, and also traveled to the DPR as the person responsible for the party primaries in the occupied territories. EP management does not react to this information in any way. But in ER’s internal chats, messages about Sidyakin’s trip to Phuket were illustrated with photoshopped images (photo below). Previously, Sidyakin publicly spoke out against any entertainment while the “special operation” was underway. Politician said that he sees no opportunity for fun “for people who support a special military operation.”
In January of this year, all State Duma deputies obliged notify the relevant commission or the Chairman of the Duma about trips abroad. The leadership of United Russia also reacts harshly to trips of regional deputies abroad. For example, on January 7, Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Andrei Turchak criticized the New Year’s greetings of the Kursk Regional Duma deputy, self-nominated Maxim Vasiliev, filmed in Mexico, calling on Vasiliev and his wife Svetlana, a deputy of the Kursk City Assembly from United Russia, to resign. In two weeks Vasiliev left post of deputy chairman of the standing committee on budget, taxes and economic development, but remained a deputy of the Kursk Regional Duma.
