“The military investigative department of the Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case against unidentified military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 356 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (use of prohibited means and methods of warfare), in connection with shelling by Ukrainian military personnel of the territory of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.
It has been previously established that on March 29, 2022, at about 8 p.m., Ukrainian military personnel, using the Tochka-U tactical missile system, launched at least 3 missile launches from the territory of the Kharkov region in the direction of the Belgorod region, equipped with cluster submunitions, the use of which is prohibited by international conventions.
As a result of these illegal actions, 8 citizens of the Russian Federation were injured. All of them were promptly transported to medical institutions, where they received qualified assistance. According to experts, each of them suffered serious harm to their health. In addition, 21 pieces of equipment were damaged. As a result of the fire and subsequent explosions, a warehouse located at the temporary location of a military unit was destroyed.”
