On January 23, in the Moscow Regional Court, Serpukhov prosecutor Roman Denisov will demand that the family of Alexander Shestun be immediately evicted onto the street. It doesn’t bother him that it’s freezing outside, and the wife, children and mother of the former head of the Serpukhov region have no other housing.

Previously, the Krasnogorsk court seized the housing of Shestun and his mother and transferred it to the jurisdiction of the Federal Property Management Agency. At the beginning of November 2022, the Serpukhov City Court heard the case of the eviction of six people, including two minors and a disabled person of group II. Then Judge Kryuchkov decided to satisfy the demands of the Federal Property Management Agency, but gave women and children a deferment – the right to use housing until June 2, 2023 “to independently provide themselves with other living quarters.”

The prosecutor’s office decided to challenge this. An appeal was filed with the court: “I believe that this court decision regarding the preservation of the right to use residential premises for a period until July 2, 2023… is illegal and unfounded,” writes Roman Denisov in his appeal submission.

He gives arguments, the essence of which boils down to the fact that members of Alexander Shestun’s family knew that they were facing eviction, but did nothing to acquire a new one and reproaches the politician’s wife for turning to the Serpukhov administration with an application to recognize her low-income and receiving housing under a social lease agreement only a couple of months ago.

Yulia Shestun herself says that during the autumn trial in Serpukhov, documents were provided to the court about the absence of all family members of any property, as well as papers regarding their possibilities for purchasing new housing.
