On February 5, Kazakh President Tokayev dismissed the government that had been appointed immediately after the January 2022 unrest. The reasons are vague, but one of them is obvious. Tokayev wants to close this page for himself when, as a result of the intrigues he controlled, the blood of hundreds of Kazakhs was shed. But those who were actually “appointed” as organizers of the pogroms without investigation are against it.

One of them is Colonel of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan Ruslan Iskakov. While in jail, he published an open letter in which he spoke about the details of the riots. In particular, the fact that the well-known “authority” Arman Dzhumageldiev (aka Arman Dikiy) came out to a rioting crowd of 20 thousand at the request of Iskakov himself. The colonel did this on the personal order of Nazarbayev’s nephew, deputy head of the National Security Committee Samat Abish. Then there was no other option to save the police from the maddened crowd. Dzhumageldiev was beaten by protesters, but fulfilled the request.

We retold this entertaining story, but its continuation turned out to be even more interesting.
After the riots ended, Dzhumageldiev was put in jail. High-ranking security officials, in their best traditions, framed the “authority”, and at the same time the one who conveyed their orders to Arman Dikiy – Ruslan Iskakov.

As soon as the investigation began, Samat Abish denied that he personally ordered Iskakov to turn to Dzhumageldiev for help. Almaty prosecutor Beirik Zhuiriktaev forgot how during the riots he begged that Arman’s “guys” be sent to guard his parents. And later he will give permission for Iskakov’s arrest. Only because the colonel, following orders from above, recruited Dzhumageldiev to guard the hospitals.

But, of course, the former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, Erlan Turgunbaev, especially distinguished himself in this field.
Saving his sciatic nerves, the once chief police officer of the country, who slept through the beginning of thousands of riots, named Arman Dzhumageldiev as the organizer of the protests. The investigation, without hesitation, swallowed this version.

Moreover, the investigators knew very well that Dikiy Arman arrived in Kazakhstan from Turkey only on December 17, 2021. But law enforcement officials were never able to answer a simple question: how did one person manage to organize riots of thousands across the entire vast country in two weeks?

Investigators also could not help but know that Dikiy Arman, fearing provocations, coordinated each of his visits to Kazakhstan with the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and personally with Erlan Turgunbaev. Confirmation of this is the SMS correspondence with the ex-minister dated December 17, 2021. But the opera blocked access to Dzhumageldiev’s phone. By direct order of Turgumbayev.
