The prosecution’s main witness will never testify again. Gezin was the deputy chairman of the board of Investbank and was sentenced to three and a half years in prison. He was left to serve his sentence in the Butyrka economic detachment, where he actively testified along with his friend, banker Pyotr Chuvilin. Gezin testified in many high-profile investigations, including those against Mendeleev and Co. And then Gezin received serious injuries in a pre-trial detention center. Allegedly fell from scaffolding while doing repair work. As the Cheka-OGPU learned, Gezin died from his injuries.
Recently, his friend banker Pyotr Chuvilin also died under dubious circumstances.
