Since Oleg Burlakov lived in Monaco in the last years of his life, he also drew up his last will in accordance with Monegasque law. Burlakov decided to disinherit his daughters from his first marriage and his ex-wife Lyudmila, and bequeathed all his real estate, cash and assets to his sister Vera Kazakova and her husband, as well as his youngest daughter Nicole from Sofia Shevtsova.
At the moment, ex-wife Lyudmila, with the support of her daughters, is trying to challenge in court his will, made in favor of his sister Vera Kazakova and her husband, as well as little Nicole. At the same time, Nicole’s mother herself, Sofia Shevtsova, at some point began to support the sisters in the process against her own daughter.
Ex-wife Lyudmila, daughters Elena and Veronica do not want their claim to be considered in the jurisdiction of the Russian Federation. The logic is clear – if facts come to light about their true relationship with their father, if information comes to light that Oleg Burlakov accused them of an attempt on his life, then they have no chance of challenging the will in their favor.
There are currently several legal proceedings going on in Monaco: Division of the Burlakovs’ property, Challenging Burlakov’s will and a lawsuit against Lyudmila for her actions with the accounts of the deceased (judging by the information on the network).
Not a single court has made a final decision and the dispute, apparently, will have an unusual end.
