Part 3
In 2019, it was announced that Alexei Ulyukaev’s wife Yulia was divorcing him. However, it’s not that simple. After the “news” about the divorce, Yulia repeatedly came to Ulyukaev’s IK for dates, but then she really disappeared. Then only his mother, brother and youngest son Alexei came to see him. It is not clear whether there was a divorce in reality, but if there was, it was most likely fictitious. Here, for example, is the text of Ulyukaev’s note to his wife Yulia with instructions, written after information about their separation. Among other things, he asks to transfer his son to a school where “there are no Russians.”
“Arguments for Yulia to Alyosha: 1. Yes, dad earned everything, but she didn’t, but dad doesn’t know how to save. He is deceived at construction sites, etc. And she saved half of the money he earned. 2. Russians are interested in external manifestations of wealth, even in Cyprus, after all, this is at most the 2nd generation, not living in poverty. Alyosha simply needs to be immersed in an environment without Russians.”
Ulyukaev, in a letter to Putin, very seriously reports that he teaches economics classes for convicts. He actually runs an economics club in the IC and takes it very seriously, he even thought about how to monetize this circle. Here, for example, is a quote from the diary on this matter: “I should have asked for a grant as a participant in a project to increase the financial literacy of the population in the Russian Federation – an economic circle.”
