The entire “special operation” to take Moldova under the control of the Kremlin is supervised by the FSB, whose agents feel at home in Chisinau. The FSB also sends its members to Moldova every year. agents under diplomatic cover. They have not been seen in Russian diplomatic missions, but many are connected with security forces. Typically, agents stay in the country for about a year, leave and never return. The last batch was still in Moldova when the war began.
