Let’s clarify the situation in the Leningrad region government. Colleagues report that the first deputy chairman of the governor’s control committee, Oleg Zinchenko, who was visited by FSB officers today in the case of receiving a large bribe, quit his job a couple of days before. It is clear that these are not coincidences at all. Our interlocutor from the administration of the Leningrad region says: there were no closer people in the team of Governor Alexander Drozdenko than Zinchenko and Alkhas Tarba. The latter was Drozdenko’s classmate and for a long time headed the government’s information and analytical committee. As for Zinchenko, he was with Drozdenko from the very beginning, working with him back in the Kingisepp district of the Leningrad region. When Drozdenko moved from there to the post of chairman of the KUGI of the regional government, he took Zinchenko with him and made him his deputy. When he went higher, Zinchenko remained in place. And not in vain – our interlocutor reports that Zinchenko and Tarba actually ran Drozdenko’s household. The first looked after the property of the region, including the most expensive land, the second managed the shadow financial affairs of the governor. So Zinchenko was warned about the troubles threatening him from the very top, he knew everything in advance and acted as befits a person from the team, and a very close one at that. It can be assumed that without high-level support he will not even remain in a pre-trial detention center.
We recently wrote about the third person close to the governor, the former chairman of the state procurement committee, and now the head of the administration of the Vsevolozhsk region, Andrei Nizovsky. He is not only considered the “heir” of the governor, but has already managed to push his trusted Marine Tonoyan to the post of chairman of KUGI. Alexander Yuryevich treats Nizovsky very well, sometimes affectionately calling him “Andryusha.” Andryusha responds to the governor in a different manner, in his inner circle calling him nothing more than “hrych.”
