Our friends have already talked about elite VIP real estate in the area of the Fisht stadium (Sochi Olympic Park), which is carefully hidden by the Minister of Nature of the Russian Federation Alexander Kozlov. We managed to hide it from everyone: curators from the FSB, personnel officers from the Government, the all-powerful Andrei Chobotov from the Kremlin anti-corruption department… the land plot with “unfinished construction” is registered in the name of an old business partner Andrey Donts (until recently – Sergei Gorkov, senior advisor to the head of Rosgeologia).
Donets-Kozlov bought a plot of land in Sochi in 2018, when the current head of the Ministry of Natural Resources briefly worked as Minister for Far Eastern Affairs. Yandex filmed twice (in 2013 and 2020) panoramas of this place with cadastral number 23:49:0402048:2473 – you can see how quickly the construction went.
Active construction began precisely in 2020, when Kozlov headed the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources. It is under the jurisdiction of the ministry that a huge Sochi National Park. Last fall, it was headed by another of Kozlov’s partners – Mikhail Lapinformer president of the Blagoveshchensk hockey club (the hockey player has already been dismissed from his position, possibly due to the initiation of a number of high-profile criminal cases).
In just a few days in 2020, Kozlov became close friends with Andrey Krukovsky – top manager of the largest resort in Sochi Park – JSC Krasnaya Polyana (controlled by the ex-governor of the Krasnodar Territory Alexander Tkachev).
Nobody knows what connected the minister and the developer of protected lands, but since then there have been no environmental claims against Krasnaya Polyana, and Large-scale construction has begun on the Donets-Kozlov site.
The mansion, made in the Mediterranean style, is impressive – 3 floors, over 1300 sq. m. meters of usable space, a maid’s quarters, covered parking for several cars, a 20-meter swimming pool and even a private Japanese-style garden. According to Sochi realtors, a house like this with a view of the sea and the Olympic Park estimated at $4 million. Over the past 5 years, the governor and twice minister Kozlov earned a little more than 50 million rubles.
But the oddities are not limited to inconsistencies in income. When the house was already ready, under very strange circumstances, that same closest friend of Minister Kozlov, the general director of Krasnaya Polyana JSC, Andrei Krukovsky, died. And recently, the director of the Sochi National Park, Mikhail Lapin, also urgently resigned. Allegedly of his own free will, in order to “improve his health” – but more likely, in connection with the emergence of a high-profile criminal case.
