Ivan Alekseev, mobilized from the Rostov region, shot a colleague with a sniper rifle after drinking together. As the Cheka-OGPU found out, the incident occurred on the night of January 14 in the “special operation” zone. The sniper reprimanded the victim about loud conversations in the dugout, to which he responded with a blow to his face. A few hours later, according to Alekseev’s stories, a colleague demanded that he leave the dugout, but he refused. Then the victim began to beat him and grabbed the AK-74, chambered a cartridge and tried to aim at his opponent. After this, the sniper shot him in the head with an SVD-S. 
Hearing that the victim, having fallen to the floor, wheezed, Alekseev decided that he was still alive and threw a kitchen knife at his neck, which stuck in his throat. To hide his involvement and traces of the crime, Alekseev dragged the corpse into the rut of a dirt road. To make the murder look like a combat casualty, the sniper cut the victim’s lower neck, left shoulder, right shoulder blade with a knife and made a cut in the lower left part of the victim’s back. In court, the mobilized man fully admitted his guilt and repented of what happened. The court sentenced him to eight years of strict regime, the sentence entered into legal force.
