A classic example of the actions of the Smirnov network was the story of a car owner, bypassed many city portals and media, who, when buying a car, was forced to purchase the “road assistance” service from Road Trust-1115 LLC at the car dealership. For 49 thousand rubles, he received three services – calling a taxi from the scene of an accident; certificate from the Hydrometeorological Center; consultation with a car mechanic by phone. It is noted that the same contract for Ozon costs only 1,000 rubles. But his overpayment is nothing compared to those who paid 166 thousand rubles for the same services.
It is noteworthy that regardless of the range and cost of services that Smirnov’s companies offer to car owners, the result is always the same – they will not receive any services. Numerous complaints indicate that the “roadside assistance” imposed upon purchasing a car turns out to be a scam, and car owners are forced to solve problems that arise on the road on their own.
However, the rampant fraud of Smirnov Roads also raises serious questions for car dealerships, which, for a share and, apparently, not a small one, undertake to sell people non-existent assistance in selling a car; and to banks, among which there are reputable ones with a worldwide reputation, that refuse to issue car loans without an agreement with scammers; and at the same time to antimonopoly officers and law enforcement officers, who for a long time have turned a blind eye to blatant scams that destabilize the Russian car market in an already crisis situation.
The Road Trust company of Artem Smirnov promises support in case of car breakdown, and then try to contact them…
