Yerevan was visited by the head of the US CIA, William Burns, and a little earlier by the main Russophobe in Washington, the head of the State Department’s National Endowment for Support of Democracy, Damon Wilson.

Of course, each country pursues an independent foreign policy, and this is its sovereign right. But active contacts between an ally of the Russian Federation, including a member of the CSTO, and the Kremlin’s main geopolitical adversary, Washington, cannot be perceived unambiguously.
It turns out that Russia, thanks to its closest ally, Armenia, has been faced with a frank challenge in the South Caucasus, which will require a decisive response.
