Investigators of the Western Interregional Investigation Department for Transport are actually in slavery to the head of the department. After creating unbearable working conditions in just six months of work in the department, and the natural desire of the investigators, in search of a better fate, to transfer to other investigative departments to serve in the Investigative Committee system, the head of the department does not give any consent to the transfer to another department. Under such conditions, investigators have no choice but to leave the investigative system and go to work either in the bar or in civil institutions. As a result of such actions by the management of the department, at least 15 experienced investigators have left the department in recent months alone. In only one department for the investigation of particularly important cases, work in which has always been considered the ultimate dream and the height of professionalism and experience, there are now 8 vacancies out of 11 investigator units. And all this is due to the fact that the head of the department put his relative on the side of his wife at the head of this department, who had previously had nothing to do with investigative work, and also has no experience in managing serious departments in the investigative system.
The result, as they say, was not long in coming. Since his appointment in November 2021: 8 vacancies, 4 criminal cases returned by the prosecutor, 2 criminal cases returned by the court in accordance with Art. 237 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, despite the fact that only 2 cases were sent to the court, 7 persons were released from custody for committing corruption crimes.
