The scheme is as simple as possible – ordinary managers sell total cars (cars after an accident that cannot be restored under compulsory motor liability insurance) at a reduced price to their affiliated company, and then these lots go to the open market at a commercial price. According to the Audatex auction, the average cost of a total car is 1.2 million rubles. At the same time, assets are withdrawn from the insurance company at a price 2 times lower than the market value. That is, employees earn up to 100% on the final transaction. Ingosstrakh sells more than 5,000 such cars per year.
“The director of the retail business loss settlement department, Maxim Dmitriev, is definitely aware of this scheme; moreover, it has already become the norm in the insurance business, when everyone is in business and has a share,” said former Ingosstrakh employee Mikhail.
To ensure the appearance of justification for the reduced price, the company created a supposedly independent auction total01.ru. “By all external signs, the situation is as transparent as possible, but the illusion of independence of the assessment will collapse at the first attempt to register on the site to any potential buyer not from the pool of “our own,” the interlocutor clarified. “You will not be given the opportunity to purchase transport there.”
Using the example of the Ingosstrakh company alone, you can see that the company does not earn about 3 billion rubles, which means that the state budget does not receive taxes for about 1 billion rubles.
