Information about the kidnapping of Zarema Musayeva, the wife of ex-judge of the Supreme Court of Chechnya Saydi Yangulbaev, is a “fantastic story,” but the Kremlin prefers not to believe unconfirmed reports. This was announced by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, an RBC correspondent reports.
When asked about the kidnapping that happened the day before, Peskov noted that he had seen media reports, but did not know how reliable they were. “If we are talking about the abduction of a person by someone, then someone files a report with the police and the police begin to act,” he said.
At the same time, he pointed out that Chechen security forces, like security forces in other regions, need to work in strict accordance with job descriptions, since these are “not some kind of sovereign units.”
“A really fantastic story.
. We prefer not to believe such reports without confirmation; we live in too untruthful times,” Peskov concluded.
