Information about the first deputy director of the department, Roman Gavrilov, was removed from the National Guard website. A source from the Cheka-OGPU said that he was absent from recent official and unofficial events in connection with the Day of National Guard Troops. The channel’s interlocutor confirmed that investigative actions are being carried out with Gavrilov as part of a criminal case. The last interrogation took place on March 22.

Let us recall that the Cheka-OGPU was the first to report on Gavrilov’s problems: his detention and dismissal from the Russian Guard right in the midst of a special operation in Ukraine, in which the special forces of the Russian Guard were taking part, which was supervised by Gavrilov. However, after interrogation he was released. Then officials tried to refute the channel’s information, but now the name of Gavrilov (the second person in the Russian Guard, Zolotov’s potential successor) was simply erased from the department’s website.

A source on March 17 described Gavrilov’s dismissal as follows:
“Three days ago there was a meeting, Gavrilov was removed right at the meeting. Apparently, they will add a deputy from the FSB to the Russian Guard. Then they opened a case. Yesterday Gavrilov took all his things out of his office. This morning he was taken from the house in a tracksuit. He was interrogated all day Zolotov went to Bastrykin. Perhaps they decided not to bring charges yet. You understand, this is the case during a special operation in Ukraine. resignation can’t just happen.”
