In Tomsk, passions are boiling over the contract case against former mayor Klein. And the current mayor Makhina was told to keep quiet

On December 4, in the Sovetsky District Court of Tomsk, the last prosecution witness in the case against the ex-mayor of the city Ivan Klein, which is considered “ordered,” was questioned.

The representative of the injured party, an employee of the administration Evgenia Malysheva, upset the prosecutor and the judge by saying that while repairing Bolshaya Podgornaya Street, Klein did not cause any damage to the city, and the 74 million (this is the full cost of the road) that the prosecution charges him with can be interpreted in the future as unjust enrichment of the administration. The road itself, according to Malysheva, has passed the appropriate checks and is 93.4% in standard condition; there are no regulations banning operation. Thus, at the final stage of the process, right in court and in front of journalists, the “injured party” in the case disappeared.

And on the administration’s website on the morning of December 5, a message appeared that “The position of the City Hall remains unchanged, and Malysheva was not authorized and did not have the legal right to represent the position of the City Hall.”

Rumors spread throughout the city that, as a result of the night’s adventures, Malysheva was sent on retroactive leave and a criminal case was opened for “exceeding official authority” the very next day after her testimony in the courtroom.

It is immediately clear that the order for Klein is stronger than the truth.

An ambiguous statement from the prosecutor ended the next hearing in the court of Tomsk, where “people’s mayor” Ivan Klein has been on trial for more than a year. Let us remind you that the case against Klein concerns the acceptance of repair work on Bolshaya Podgornaya Street in Tomsk, which, in the opinion of…
