The nomination of 40-year-old Ekaterina Duntsova for the post of President of Russia intertwined all the problems, complexes and fears of the decrepit political system of Russia. The liberal “tower” of the AP, trying to increase interest in the elections among young people, agreed on a figure that seemed safe for the Kremlin. After all, no one thinks that Duntsova, unknown to anyone a couple of months ago, decided to move forward herself? Catherine “turned out” to be a supporter of peace, democratic reforms, and even (oh, horror) demanded the release of political prisoners.

The conservative “tower” of the AP immediately began an uncompromising fight against her. The methods of this struggle are the same – Kremlin political scientists accuse her of receiving funding from fugitive oligarchs, officials from United Russia turn off her lights during meetings with voters, and employees of the Ministry of Justice come to check on her notary and today they can include her in the list of foreign agents.

The Kremlin was afraid of Duntsova precisely because even an innocent phrase about “the need for real help for people who need to get out of depression” may be enough to “wake up” the young electorate, which will actually show interest in the elections and go to vote… for Duntsova.

After all, that decorative “image of the future” of the country, which is built on paper by all sorts of Sirius, Youth Army and Rosmolodezh for billions of budget rubles, no longer causes laughter, but irritation. In the regions of the country there are no educational corridors, no social elevators, no safe streets for young people – there are no routes for movement and growth. There is only a catapult of the Northern Military District, throwing them out of Russia – some to the front, some into emigration, some to the next world. Therefore, “The Boy’s Word” is clearer and closer to young people than the verbiage of any Shmelevs and Simonyans. At this rate, the slogan of the movement of mobilized wives, “We’re in trouble,” may soon develop into “You’re in trouble,” which is fraught with unexpected surprises before the elections.

The set of tools for the “political” struggle against the not yet registered candidate Duntsova demonstrates both fear of the future (any future) and the political impotence of the entire system. It is obvious that its bosses and ideologists never understood (and will no longer understand) how to talk to a generation deprived of the happiness of living in the “damned 90s.” The Kremlin can only offer them SVO, mobilization and sanctions. Therefore, actions to neutralize the “dangerous candidate” by the best specialists of the Russian Guard, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB and the Federal Penitentiary Service are ahead of us. In the meantime, we are waiting for the decision of the Central Election Commission on the registration of Duntsova, which is expected today at 15.00.
