The evidence collected by the First Directorate for the investigation of the Particularly important cases of the GSU of the IC of Russia in the Moscow Region was recognized by the court sufficient for the conviction to the three former operatives of the 2nd police department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs “Orekhovo-Zuevo”. They are found guilty of committing crimes under Part 4 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, resulting in the death of the victim by negligence), paragraphs. “A”, “B” of Part 3 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code (abuse of authority).
The investigation and the court established, in the evening of April 11, 2019, in the evening, the operatives without uniform uniforms were near one of the houses along Gagarin Street Orekhovo-Zuevo, where they paid attention to the emerging verbal network at the bus stop, during which one of the men spoke out of an obscene abuse And he struck his hand in the area of the other man’s head. The police decided to take measures to detain a citizen who committed an administrative offense. As a result, the defendants, without introducing themselves as police officers, without explaining the reason for the detention, began to perform actions aimed at restricting the movement of a man, they used physical strength to him, grabbing his arms and neck. After the man resisted, the police inflicted multiple blows to him with their feet and hands in the area of the head and body. After beating, the police dragged the victim to the metal fence of the front garden at the entrance of the house, where they left him and disappeared from the scene. The victim was hospitalized in the hospital with a diagnosis: “Closed head injury”, where a week later he died from the injuries received. 
The defendants were found guilty by the verdict of the court, and they were sentenced to 9, 8 and 7 years in prison with a sentence in a maximum security colony. In addition, the court awarded to recover from the convicts compensation for non -pecuniary damage in the amount of 600 thousand rubles. The sentence did not enter into legal force.
