An investigator of the Second Directorate for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Region brought charges against the vice-rector – director of the information technology center of the State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Russian Customs Academy”. He is accused of illegal sale of narcotic drugs on a large scale (clause “d”, part 4 of article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). A criminal case was initiated on the basis of materials collected by operational officers of Directorate “K” of the SEB of the FSB of Russia.
It was established that the accused purchased a narcotic substance in the amount of 2 kilograms, then packaged it into smaller volumes and sold drugs through the darknet.
As a result of the well-coordinated, joint work of operational officers and investigators, it was possible to establish the place of drug production, where inspections are currently underway. The circle of persons involved in the production of narcotic drugs and the work of the drug laboratory as a whole is established. Also, to date, seven stashes of drugs have already been discovered, links to which were found in the accused’s computer equipment.
In addition, other senior employees of the academy, to whom the accused provided the drug for use, are also being checked for involvement in the crime. Interrogations and other investigative actions are being carried out.
