In the Lipetsk region, a unique historical precedent is being created for the entire judicial system: the decision of two prosecutors general of the Russian Federation and the collegium of the Supreme Court is being challenged in the district court. Moreover, while Vladimir Lisin, who occupies third place in the ranking of the richest people in Russia, publicly calls on the authorities: “let arbitration deal with the execution of contracts first of all, and not investigators who see fraud everywhere,” one of his many offshore subsidiaries OJSC LESK , having lost all the arbitration courts, is trying, with the help of the security forces, to extort money from the business. At the same time, devaluing the decisions of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Supreme Court.

Recently, LESK filed an application demanding the cancellation of the resolution to terminate the criminal case against the management of the Lipetsk pipe company Svobodny Sokol. Two years ago, this high-profile story put not only the entire Lipetsk region on edge, but also the General Prosecutor’s Office: power engineers, under the cover of local security forces, tried to carry out a raider takeover of the enterprise using illegally concocted criminal cases. The press and human rights activists stood up for the metallurgists. Ultimately, Yuri Chaika, who was the prosecutor general at that time, recognized the illegality of the actions of the security forces and demanded that the criminal prosecution be immediately stopped, and Igor Krasnov, who replaced him at the post, initiated the punishment of the perpetrators. Purges began in the region, many heads rolled, including the dismissal of the regional prosecutor Kozhevnikov. The arbitration decision was considered by the economic panel of the Supreme Court, which finally recognized the correctness of Sokol. All criminal proceedings against the leadership of LTK were discontinued, and the state officially apologized.

It would seem that that’s it: the story is over, the raiders lost. But difficult times for the state give rise to another desire for profit. Contrary to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Supreme Court and common sense, the Lisin company continues to create a nightmare for businessmen, this time suing the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which dropped the case. Once again: a private company is suing the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which dropped a case that was officially declared ILLEGAL at the highest level. Now Judge Kuznetsova and Chairman Kartashov will have to check the legality of the decisions of the Prosecutor General’s Office. Is it possible, with the help of a district court, to challenge the competence of two Prosecutors General and the Collegium of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation based on “I just want”? Lisin’s company – yes. And it doesn’t matter what happens to the economy, jobs and other little things like that, if profit is at stake. Apparently, games to capture factories are the last thing our billionaires will stop playing.

By the way, in past times, attacks on businesses were always accompanied by a massive PR attack in the loudest media. Should you stock up on popcorn this time?
