In the Kirov region, for six months now, investigators have been unable to deal with the attack on the apartment of the famous journalist Elena Ovchinnikova. Moreover, the attack was clearly not for hooligan or selfish reasons.

The incident was preceded by a number of publications by the journalist about facts of corruption in the work of Alexander Churin, now the former chairman of the government of the Kirov region. The police and the investigative committee are silent both about the attack and about the missing capital representative office. As far as we know, Alexander Churin, who was accused by Ovchinnikova herself of organizing the attack, was not even questioned by law enforcement. The ex-chairman of the government boasts of a special relationship with local “epaulets”. In addition to his bottomless wallet, he has another signature feature – both former government officials and relatives of influential Kirov security officials are employed in factories owned by Churin.
