In the corporate conflict around the Axel auto holding, an amazing…

There was a surprising turn in the corporate conflict around the Axel auto holding: the criminal case initiated at the request of one of its co-owners lasted only one day.

As reported by “Kommersant“On March 10, the Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Vasileostrovsky District opened a criminal case under paragraph 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation in relation to an unidentified person from among the managers of the Axel group of companies, and the very next day, March 11, the head of the investigation of the city headquarters, Evgeny Negrozov, personally cancels the decision made by his colleagues to initiate a criminal case.
At the same time, the basis for canceling the decision to initiate a criminal case was based on circumstances that, according to experts, have nothing to do with the event specified in the decision to initiate a criminal case.

Against the backdrop of such facts, doubts arise about the real reasons for canceling the initiation of a criminal case, although the participants in the conflict themselves were not surprised by such a turn, given that those who benefit from Negorozov’s decision have repeatedly boasted of their warm relations with the security community, in particular with the current head city headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Roman Plugin, whose deputy is Evgeniy Negrozov, as well as with the former city prosecutor Sergei Litvinenko, as I previously wrote about VChK-OGPU.

Let us note that in December 2021, the prosecutor in St. Petersburg was replaced; Viktor Melnik was appointed to replace Sergei Litvinenko, who will now give his assessment of the legality of such decisions of the city police. And the St. Petersburg Ministry of Internal Affairs itself, if such cases become more frequent, it is possible that new checks are expected from Moscow, especially in parts of economic crimes.
