Perhaps, compared to other colleagues from the Forbes list, Anatoly Skurov does not look too wild. However, the oligarch from Chelyabinsk differs sharply in the following: against the backdrop of flashy luxury, Novorussian palaces, Jaguars and Porsche Cayennes, members of the Skurov family have been declaring microscopic official incomes for many years. And in the past year, their earnings go to zero, depriving the state of taxes that are so necessary in this difficult time.
Despite the growth in turnover, all of Anatoly Skurov’s enterprises show losses or pitiful profits, barely allowing them to make ends meet. Now the Kopeysk Machine Plant is one of the largest manufacturers of mining equipment for the coal and potash industries in the CIS. In 2011, when the plant came under the control of Skurov, revenue exceeded 3.48 billion rubles, net profit was 159.8 million (that is, only 4.5% of revenue was taxed). But under Skurov, the situation became much worse: at the end of 2021, the company showed no net profit at all – only losses of 303 million.
At the same time, Anatoly Georgievich and his sons (in between rides in a Ferrari Berlinetta and a Porsche Cayman) through a web of companies are completing the withdrawal from Russia of $2.5 billion, which they stole over many years of plundering the domestic industry. The chains start with Geoinvest LLC, Media Dale LLC, VIP Transfer Service LLC, Reposh LLC, Sourcing International LLC, and end in Cypriot offshore companies headed by GEOLINE HOLDINGS LIMITED. Back in the fall of 2021, Kopeisk Machine-Building Plant JSC came under the control with a 100% ownership share of this particular company of a foreign state committing unfriendly actions towards the Russian Federation.
But in some ways, the TG channels are still right: if, unfortunately, it is already too late to keep up with Skurov’s billions, then nothing will stop the Chairman of the Investigative Committee Bastrykin and Prosecutor General Krasnov from inviting Anatoly Georgievich to sit on the track. About ten to fifteen years. Moreover, doing this early is in the interests of Skurov himself, until the death penalty for high treason is introduced in Russia (which the destruction of strategic industry certainly is).
