In Russia, fines are introduced for participating in unwanted foreign organizations

The Russian State Duma has considered a number of bills today. Among the topics raised are questions about undesirable foreign organizations.

The State Duma examined and supported in the third (that is, final) reading the law on an increase in the list of organizations that may be recognized as undesirable, the correspondent of The Moscow Post reports with reference to State Duma website.

In addition, in the first reading, amendments to the Code were also adopted, which propose to introduce responsibility for the activities of such organizations.

In accordance with amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses and the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, for participation in the activities of any undesirable organization, citizens may threaten, in particular, a fine or even imprisonment, the State Duma explained.
