In response to a media request, the Main Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation stated that they do not have a case pending against the head of the 5th Service of the FSB of the Russian Federation, Sergei Beseda. The Agency reported that this department was conducting a case against Beseda. The same publication claimed that “his deputy Bolyukh” was detained along with Beseda. However, as the Cheka-OGPU found out, Bolyukh was fired from the FSB back in 2015.

According to the Agents, Beseda was placed under arrest in the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center. When the Cheka-OGPU indicated that Beseda’s name was not among the prisoners in this pre-trial detention center, the Agents began to assure that Beseda was being held there under a pseudonym, which they did not name.

Earlier, a source who is well acquainted with the situation said that the head of the Fifth Service of the FSB of the Russian Federation, Sergei Beseda, himself organizes the stuff that he was either sent under house arrest or even transferred to a pre-trial detention center. The reason for this is simple. As VK-OGPU reported, there are huge questions for the Fifth Service in the Kremlin in connection with the work “in Ukraine.” Beseda understands that after the special operation he is the number 1 candidate for dismissal (and this is in the best case). However, as you know, President Vladimir Putin extremely does not like making decisions, including personnel decisions, under pressure, especially when the pressure comes from outside. It is the appearance of this “external pressure” that Conversation creates by spreading false information about its arrest.
