In Dagestan, the noise does not subside due to large-scale redistribution in a number of municipalities. Now at stake is the seaside city of Kaspiysk, which may soon come under the control of the nominal Secretary of State of the Republic Magomed-Sultan Magomedov, who is promoting his relative Makhmud Amiraliev to the position of mayor of this city.
The head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, who lost control over the entrusted economy, actually transferred his powers to Secretary of State Magomed-Sultan Magomedov. Over the last year alone, about 700 thousand tons of oil passed through its structures – according to minimal estimates, the amount of assets exceeds 20 billion rubles. In a business share with him is the former head of the republic Magomedsalam Magomedov, whose father (also once the head of the republic) gave the oil enterprise to Magomed-Sultan Magomedov for next to nothing. For this political group, the enslavement of Sergei Melikov is not something out of the ordinary. Obviously, in the past, the military general turned out to be a beaten card in the regional field. Even now, Melikov’s friend from the Russian Guard, Boris Gontsov, who holds the position of head of Kaspiysk, cannot help but capitulate to Magomed-Sultan Magomedov. Those around the latter are sure that their patron is essentially the night leader of Dagestan. And while the general spends his evenings in the company of the green serpent, the administrative vertical in the republic is built by the nominal Secretary of State. Which, however, is no longer news for guests from the corridors of regional power, who are in anticipation of the resignation of the governor-general, who has failed everything.
