And we have to admit that the plan of the Western “partners” is not without foundation, if you look at some examples, such as in the case of the Bakatin family. Father Vadim Bakatin, the last head of the KGB of the USSR. He lives quietly in Switzerland, accepted by Western elites as a person who, on Gorbachev’s instructions, actually broke off inter-republican ties with the KGB, which directly contributed to the collapse of the country. The man is deeply retired and busy with his memoirs; even if one wants to, it is difficult to imagine him as a person capable of participating in a conspiracy.
But Dmitry, one of his sons, is actively using his father’s old connections. Bakatin the junior lives in Monaco and even placed his son, whom he named after his legendary grandfather, in the youth team of the French Monaco. But this does not prevent Dmitry from conducting serious business in Russia; his interests are very extensive – from the insurance business to the resale of metallurgical assets. In the latter even lit up together with Gazprombank, and in this, as they say, Andrei Akimov himself actively helped him. Among Dmitry’s friends and business partners are the vice-mayor of Moscow Natalya Sergunina and the owner of Telesport Pyotr Makarenko.
And everything would be fine; the son, as we know from history, is not responsible for his father. But a number of informed sources in the KGB heiress share their observations: Dmitry is actively “leaking” information through the necessary channels to the West. Oh, how he doesn’t want to face the seizure of real estate and accounts on the Cote d’Azur. Therefore, like many emigrants, he does not even need to make public statements condemning the special operation; it is enough to peacefully talk with enviable regularity over a glass of sparkling wine in the Restaurant du Métropole Monte-Carlo with nice people in civilian clothes.
Gazprombank and Dmitry Bakatin sold 29.9% of the iron ore company IRC for $96 million
