In addition to Major General Anton Romeiko-Gurko, the head of the Internal Affairs Directorate for the North-Western Administrative District, who recently left his post, another significant personnel change occurred at the Internal Affairs Directorate for the North-Western Administrative District of Moscow. The head of the personnel department of the Internal Affairs Directorate for the North-Western Administrative District, Colonel of the Internal Service Alena Krasnova, the wife of that same General Vitaly Krasnov, deputy head of the DGSK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, who was removed from his post in August 2021 after a sensational corruption story with the head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kamchatka Territory, left her post. Thanks to her husband, Krasnova remained in her position for more than 10 years, while establishing a real citadel of lawlessness and corruption in the personnel department of the Internal Affairs Directorate, and thanks to her husband’s patronage, she was completely unsinkable, which she demonstrated with all her appearance and did not hesitate to speak about it directly. All the heads of the Internal Affairs Directorate wanted to be friends with Krasnova, for obvious reasons, since without her consent it was impossible to appoint anyone to any position (from non-commissioned officers to senior positions in the Internal Affairs Directorate), and for example, transferring to another district, this is generally something from the area fiction. Therefore, any leader in the district tried to establish “friendly” communication with her in one way or another. But Krasnova’s real fighting friend was the notorious Lieutenant Colonel Lyudmila Veryaeva, who was appointed in 2017 to the post of head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the North-Western Administrative District of Moscow, about whom the Cheka-OGPU had repeatedly written. Through the hands of Krasnova, Veryaeva created a real personnel chaos in the regional units of the Department of Internal Affairs of the North-Western Administrative District, bringing the overall shortage in the North-Western Administrative District to 60 percent.
