If in Georgia thieves who bought a “coronation” for money or a service are usually called “oranges” in the criminal world, thus hinting at their precocity, then what should we call the security forces in neighboring South Ossetia who become generals on the same principle?

As a rule, professional colleagues from law enforcement agencies do not recognize such impostors in uniform, but cannot prevent their career growth.

Just three of these “oranges” were fired by the President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev – the chief of staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Major General of the police Tarzan Kokoiti, the head of the criminal police, Major General of the police Gennady Tigiev, the head of the personnel department, Major General of the police Akhsar Dzhabiev.

Apparently, the general’s shower of stars in the republic is over, perhaps more than one star will fall from the sky, perhaps some will land directly on their bunks. Among those whom society would like to see behind bars is ex-Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Naniev, who is considered involved in the torture and death of Tskhinvali resident Inal Dzhabiev. Dzhabiev was detained precisely on suspicion of an attempt on Naniev’s life. As a result of the shelling of the security officer’s car, the service Niva was slightly damaged, but the minister himself remained unperturbed. Almost immediately, rumors spread that the assassination attempt was a failed staging by the authorities, the purpose of which was to force the detainee to admit that it was Alan Gagloev who ordered the attack. One of the two accused in the case of the death of Inal Dzhabiev who remains behind bars is the nephew of the former minister.

In total, seven security officials are involved in the case; the deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Andrei Tskhovrebov, was removed from office.

So, as a result of an inspection by the Prosecutor General’s Office, discouraging facts were revealed – in just 5 months of this year, by decree of ex-President Anatoly Bibilov, 78 officials received prestigious titles through the back door:

in 38 – the Ministry of Internal Affairs, two – the Prosecutor General, 9 – the state security service, five – the Control and Accounts Chamber of the Republic of South Ossetia, two – the State Customs Committee, one – the Ministry of Emergency Situations, one – the Ministry of Defense, one – the department of execution of punishments and 19 – employees of executive bodies authorities.

Submissions for obtaining titles were withdrawn by employees of the Prosecutor General’s Office from the Administration of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, while these submissions were absent from ministries and departments. In particular, the ranks were awarded in the Prosecutor General’s Office on April 18, and the submissions were sent to the Administrative Office of the Republic of South Ossetia on April 19. The following fact was revealed – an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was awarded the rank of lieutenant colonel, and after 10 days he was awarded the rank of colonel.
