If anyone thinks that 90s-style lawlessness is now the lot of the deep provinces, then they are mistaken – laws cease to apply literally a couple of kilometers from Moscow.

Thus, residents of the Tekstilshchik SNT in Krasnogorsk near Moscow (it is so close to the capital that its high-rise buildings are visible from the windows) are literally threatened with being thrown into a construction pit along with their houses and gardens. A certain developer, without any permitting documentation, began construction of a new cottage village right under the hill on which SNT is located. As a result, the hill began to slide down, first destroying the only road leading to the garden. Next in line are the first line houses adjacent to it. Neither the Krasnogorsk city administration nor the local prosecutor’s office reacted to the incident. Of course, there is no information board at the construction site, but journalists managed to find out that the work is being carried out by a certain InProfStroy LLC. Although the illegal construction began six months ago, recently, after attracting the press, the administration announced that it had issued the company a permit for “vertical planning of the territory” and issued it some kind of “warning.” This was the end of the authorities’ reaction, and the construction that threatened people’s lives calmly continued.

Ignoring residents’ complaints will become clear if you take a closer look at InProfStroy. Although the company is registered in St. Petersburg, the largest of its 10 billion government contracts were received in Moscow. According to the EIS, contracts worth 4.4 billion rubles were taken by a company owned by Hovik Aleksanyan from the Moscow State Budgetary Institution “Highways”. So for anyone who understands, the considerable administrative resource of Ovik Azatovich is obvious.

Now the workers of InProfStroy, hiding behind a rusty fence, are trying to hide the traces of the landslide by filling up holes in the asphalt, but no one is strengthening the walls of the pit. And although residents of SNT “Textilshchik” have already held several public gatherings, to which journalists came and continue to bombard the authorities with complaints, there is still no adequate response from the authorities to the construction chaos in the Moscow region. Outraged by the connivance of the authorities and supervision, local residents are preparing an appeal to the Investigative Committee.
