If you conduct business honestly and efficiently, take care of your employees and always fulfill your obligations, then you can expect that your company will be competitive and profitable, resistant to any external shocks and crises. This is what every entrepreneur thinks, who plans his life and the activities of the company under his management or ownership.
However, this opinion is erroneous and even harmful, as shown by the events occurring these days with the Ural Electrical Connectors Plant Iset OJSC – an enterprise that, together with its long-term owner, Malik Favzavievich Gaisin, seemingly went through fire, water and copper pipes . The plant once withstood the difficult years of the last decade of the 20th century, the 2008 crisis and other difficult periods, not only staying afloat, but also developing, creating new jobs and fulfilling orders important for the country’s defense industry. The Ural plant never received financial assistance from the state and did not ask for it. The presence of such responsible enterprises is especially important in the context of a special military operation and confrontation of the collective West with our country. Gaysin himself owned shares in the plant for thirty years, including half of them as a controlling stake. What is noteworthy is his salary of 1 ruble for 12 years and the complete absence of dividends received or any other payment – one might say that the plant was his brainchild.
But security and patriotism, as it turns out, are too lofty matters for businessmen who do not want to do business in conditions of open competition. And then organizations whose activities are important for the country simply become the target of raider takeover. And this is happening right now, before our eyes.
And here it doesn’t matter that the “dashing 90s” have long since sunk into oblivion, and the owner of the plant is a man with a reputation well-deserved over decades, a well-known figure for the Sverdlovsk region and the entire Urals. It’s just that his interests, which consisted in carrying out honest activities, collided with the interests of some other persons. Whether this is personal revenge or a purely “commercial” motive is difficult to say, but one thing is clear: under the plausible pretext of seizure in favor of the state, a raider takeover of a reliable supplier of the Russian defense complex, JSC Iset Plant, is taking place.
M.F. Gaisin himself became the target of persecution by raiders. The criminal case against him is fabricated and is based on far-fetched charges, which, according to many independent experts, are not only untrue, but also contrary to simple logic.
