One of the richest people in the south of Russia, Shalva Gibradze (the owner of Novorosmetal) and his partner Irakli Sabulua (a leader of the Georgian party “Georgian Dream”) seized three berths in the military part of the Novorossiysk seaport. These berths belong to the Ministry of Defense, which entered into a lease agreement with Novorosmetal structures. The most interesting thing is the rental size… 15 thousand rubles per year for three cargo berths for high-tonnage vessels with an ideal fairway. At the same time, according to the reports of the nearby Novorossiysk Sea Port, the average cost of renting one cargo berth is more than 500 million rubles per year. The mooring areas were leased to Novorosmetal without a tender, the lease period was 25 years.
According to a source from the Cheka-OGPU, Gibradze and Sabulua plan to use these sites to organize smuggling of non-ferrous metal scrap to Turkey. And all with the active patronage of the Krasnodar FSB Directorate, with which Gibradze has a particularly close relationship, the entire leadership of this unit received apartments in the Zolotoy Bereg residential complex, built by the Novorosmetall group with money stolen from Rosselkhozbank, as gifts.
An interesting design: theft of federal strategic property, smuggling of strategic resources, bribes to senior intelligence officers who are supposed to carry out counterintelligence support in the field of circulation of strategic resources and the use of federal property. It is interesting that the subsidiaries of Novorosmetal are the largest collectors of non-ferrous scrap in the south of Russia, and the enterprise itself belongs to citizens of Turkey and Georgia. It’s also fantastic that Sabulua is a former assistant to Eduard Shevardnadze, a current adviser to Bidzina Ivanishvili and a major sponsor of the Georgian Dream. All of them cannot be called friendly to Russia.
