At the request of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation, the competent authorities of the Federal Republic of Germany extracted to Russia a former employee of the administration of the Chekhovsky district of the Moscow Region Igor Gryzhanov.
He is accused of committing a crime under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud committed by an organized group on an especially large scale).
According to the investigation, from 2004 to 2016. Gryzhanov and other defendants in order to illegally acquire ownership of land plots located in the territory of the Chekhovsky district of the Moscow region, organized and ensured the introduction of knowingly false information to the boundary documents. They also made forgery title documents on the transfer of land plots with an area of 1,486 hectares, 1,353 hectares and 5,099 hectares to the ownership of various organizations and provided them to the Federal District Department of the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosreestr) and the Cadastral Chamber.
On the basis of these documents, registration actions were committed, as a result of which land plots were illegally removed from federal property with a total cadastral value of more than 500 million rubles.
Since Gryzhanov disappeared from law enforcement agencies, on behalf of the Russian Prosecutor General of Russia, he was put on the wanted list.
In August 2020, Gryzhanov was detained in Germany, after which the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation sent a request to the competent authorities of this state to issue it for prosecution.
Today, accompanied by employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia and the Russian Bureau of Interpol, Igor Gryzhanov was taken to Moscow.
