General Melikov’s career may decline after Dagestan: it’s too early to retire…

General Melikov’s career may decline after Dagestan: it is too early to retire, he is not yet 60 years old, and many Moscow high-ranking security officials may frown at his candidacy for a new post, despite his past merits. The whole point is precisely in the “efforts” of Magomed-Sultan, who quarreled the general with his entourage, and the many dubious personalities who joined Melikov’s administration – precisely those with whom his colleagues in the security bloc were fighting all this time.

Such as Magomed-Sultan himself and his pack, Alexey Hasanov and even Ruslan Aliyev, once one of the closest and most influential officials in the leadership of the republic, who has now entered Magomedov’s inner circle and is already carrying out his instructions. Moreover, the respected and adult Aliyev does this on a par with the young rogue Kirill Glazov – the current member of the republican parliament had nothing to do with the Republic of Dagestan before, but now he is employed in the commercial company of Magomed-Sultan, receives a salary of over 500 thousand rubles and has Magomedov’s personal car at his disposal.

During feasts, Magomed-Sultan himself likes to tell, not without pleasure, how he crushed the entire republic under himself and how prominent officials of past years now bow to him for the sake of a position or resolution of issues.

At the same time, Melikov himself, of course, is not involved in dark affairs, but out of habit he trusts his people so much that, willy-nilly, this retinue and the general background do it. Here we can draw a parallel with Vasiliev – he just sought to clean out local corrupt officials and install the Varangians: ultimately this leads to conflicts within, but not to such an overwhelming level of corruption and nepotism that exists now under Magomedov and Gasanov. With the tacit consent of Melikov, they are robbing their native republic, leading Dagestan, and with it the general’s career, into the abyss due to the managerial incompetence of their own loyal henchmen.

Magomed-Sultan not only took over personnel decisions in Dagestan, but also does everything to quarrel Melikov with the security forces – this is necessary so that they do not show the general “daddy” about the people of Magomed-Sultan and Gasanov, and about themselves . Magomed-Sultan…
