This decision was made by the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Tver Region. There are clearly more questions for the investigation than answers in this case. For example, the main witness, who is in custody, wrote a complaint to the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Investigative Committee, accusing the criminal investigation officers Gureev and the Investigative Committee employee Dubasova of demanding that he incriminate the entrepreneurs. By the way, not long ago, the Head of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Tver Region, Albert Kizimov, was even temporarily suspended from his post for the duration of an internal inspection due to his occupation.
The fact is that during an extended meeting of the board of the Investigative Committee of Russia, a “reduction in the number of criminal cases sent to the court for consideration on the merits” was revealed, as well as “the investigation of a significant number of cases within a period of more than two months with a small workload on investigators.” Among such cases, which are clearly far-fetched, is the story of the detention of Tver entrepreneurs.
However, so far the check has not resulted in anything – Kizimov is in his place, and the entrepreneurs detained on the basis of the testimony of repeatedly convicted repeat offenders remain in the pre-trial detention center.
And here is another indicative “coincidence” – Investigative Committee investigator Alina Dubasova, who is leading the case of entrepreneurs, is the wife of an operative of the criminal investigation department of the Tver Internal Affairs Directorate Dubasov, whose colleague and friend, Denis Gureev, hinted about the possibility of “finding drugs” to the driver of one of the detained businessmen, demanding give the evidence necessary to the investigation.
