Having resolved the issue with the district court, where in just three sessions judge Victoria Yakovleva ruled in his favor on December 24 in the lawsuit against his ex-wife Olga Mirimskaya, he is now looking for ways to ensure that it survives.
Prior to this, he “technically” removed his opponent from the game by organizing, together with her former partner Nikolai Smirnov, the imprisonment of Mirimskaya in the case of allegedly giving bribes to investigator Yuri Nosov near Moscow.
Then, the former men of Mirmskaya, united in tandem, tried in a similar way to eliminate Mirimskaya’s lawyer, Yulia Zhuravleva, who is involved in a civil case based on Golubovich’s claim. In anticipation of the appeal, Novosibirsk resident Sergei Sokolov was sent to her, provoking the defender to give a bribe of 33.5 million rubles for the release of her client from the pre-trial detention center. The lawyer didn’t buy it and turned to the FSB, the provocateur detained and was arrested.
However, it seems that he did not have time to resolve the issue with the Moscow City Court. The appeal hearing scheduled for March 31 was disrupted by a tactical move – Golubovich, who was abroad, sent objections to the complaint by e-mail. Moreover, he did this just two days before the meeting, “cheating” with the mail of the representative of the defendant Yulia Zhuravleva, who, of course, did not receive anything, since instead of her e-mail, simply her first and last name were indicated.
This became a formal reason for postponing the process to April 28. The real reason lies in the fact that Golubovich could not reach an agreement in a higher authority and took extra time.
However, as the Cheka-OGPU learned, Golubovich will not be able to quietly resolve the issue with the judges of the Moscow City Court, whose chairman Mikhail Ptitsyn is, of course, aware of Golubovich’s scandalous litigation. Therefore, the civil case is receiving the close attention of the leadership of the Moscow City Court, which is unlikely to create a precedent when it will be possible to recover millions of dollars only based on copies of uncertified papers from 14 years ago. The higher courts, including his permanent chairman of the Supreme Court of Russia, Vyacheslav Lebedev, will not understand this.
