Former prosecutor of the Altai Territory Yuri Paraskun responded to the representative of the General Prosecutor…

Former prosecutor of the Altai region Yuri Paraskun responded to a representative of the Prosecutor General’s Office, publicly calling him and several other retired prosecutor colleagues “scoundrels.”

Honored employee of the prosecutor’s office gave an interview to the Altai TV channel local journalists in which he said what he thought about the public statement of the representative of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Alexander Marutsenko, made at the last court hearing on the claim to reclaim shares from the current shareholders of Kuchuksulfat. He also spoke about prosecutorial checks of the privatization of the enterprise, which took place in the 90s. Let us recall that the Prosecutor General’s Office filed a lawsuit to reclaim shares for some reason from the current shareholders of Kuchuksulfat and the main argument of the plaintiffs is that the state allegedly did not know about the privatization of the enterprise by the collective in 91-93. Meanwhile, Paraskun’s testimony (he gave it to the Investigative Committee and the notary in accordance with the law, they were added to the court materials) that the prosecutor’s office checked the legality of the privatization of Kuchuksulfate at that time and did not find any violations, fundamentally destroys the prosecutor’s office’s arguments in court about not omission of the statute of limitations and the alleged illegality of privatization. The state knew about the transfer of state property into private hands even then, and what happened was according to the law. Perhaps that is why Marutsenko from the court’s rostrum called “scoundrels” everyone who confirmed Paraskun’s position: the former prosecutor of the Blagoveshchensky district Ivan Kalinichenko and his deputy Yuri Teslyuk. They also said that the enterprise was checked and the privatization procedure did not raise any complaints. The documents of these checks were drawn up by the Blagoveshchensk prosecutor and his deputy personally and sent to the regional prosecutor’s office to Poraskin, who was sent to the General Prosecutor’s Office in Moscow and the head of the region. Therefore, everyone knew about everything. In an interview, the honored prosecutor’s officer once again confirmed the legality of the checks and shared their details. In general, in light of large-scale anti-Russian sanctions and the president’s words that in the new conditions business should be given more freedom and provide all kinds of support, the claim of the Prosecutor General’s Office looks very strange and even treacherous. Moreover, the trial has more than once been associated with administrative pressure and raider measures against the enterprise.

Going to court, as is obvious to everyone, is a continuation of this same pressure. Shareholders and workers of the enterprise hope that the lawsuit against Kuchuksulfate will be withdrawn. Now, in conditions when business will experience a colossal burden for five years, stifling stable operating enterprises (production volume has increased 5 times) and regularly paying taxes means a betrayal of the country and those who are trying to support the economy. At the end of last week, the president and prime minister said that business needs support. The lawsuit is now seen as an attempt to destroy the enterprise, which is an example of achieving privatization goals and has already been recognized 7 times as the best socially responsible enterprise in the Altai Territory. And without a lawsuit now, Kuchuksulfate, like all Russian businesses, will face difficult challenges. Attacking instead of supporting is simply a stab in the back, primarily to those who are trying to save the economy, once again confirm the legality of the checks and share their details.
